English summer school in Hull 2010

Politismos Limited is delighted to offer you the opportunity to improve your English, get to know a beautiful part of England and to spend 7 days travelling, sightseeing and practising your English and international English in London and Paris.
Our course is aimed at three distinct groups of learners

  • Students thinking of applying for full-time higher education in the UK who wish to improve their communication skills and academic English and who want to find out about university life in the UK
  • 13-17 year olds who wish to improve their communication skills for school exams
  • 18+ age group who simply wish to improve their skills in English in a beautiful part of England but who would also like to experience the wonderful cities of London and Paris

Our programme is designed above all to improve your communication skills in English.  Not only do you have 15 hours a week for three weeks in the classroom with our experienced native-speaker teachers, but you will also be accompanied on excursions and activities by native-speakers who are there to give you advice and information and to provide English speaking opportunities.  You will also be encouraged to investigate places we are visiting independently, once you arrive, to increase learning and speaking opportunities.

Two planned activities (ice-skating, cinema etc) and two excursions in and around East Yorkshire (one all-day at weekend) per week.
All accompanied by native speaker teacher.

You are strongly advised to take out appropriate insurance for your stay in the UK. We suggest insurance that will cover course cancellation, as well as health problems, accidental loss and/or damage to property. Politismos Limited does not recommend any specific insurance company.
Neither Politismos Limited nor its representatives are liable for loss of tuition or other services due to public disturbance, industrial action or factors outside our control. Refunds cannot be made under any of these circumstances. Politismos Limited does not accept liability in case of illness, accident, loss or damage to personal effects or property. Any damage to the premises or accommodation provided, whether intentional or not, must be paid for in full.
Politismos Limited reserves the right to refuse an enrolment, to change the price or course details without prior notice and to refuse lessons or accommodation where fees have not been paid in full.
The directors reserve the right to exercise their own discretion in all matters. Their decision is final.


Payment Details
Confirmation of a course booking will only be provided on receipt of the Registration Fee. All fees must be paid prior to the commencement of a course. There are no reductions, discounts, or refunds for courses that include a public holiday.

Cash and cheques are also accepted.
Please note that you are liable for all bank charges and will be billed for any such charges on your first day if necessary. Cheques, drawn on a UK bank, should be made payable to Politismos Limited.


Cancellation & Changes
If you decide to cancel your course for any reason, you must inform the School as soon as possible. The School will not be able to refund the Registration Fee.
If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the course, a further cancellation fee equivalent to one week’s course and accommodation (if booked with the School) will be charged. Any remaining balance will be returned to you but the School will not be liable for any bank charges during the refund process.
If you cancel after your course has started, or decide to finish your course early, no refund will be given.
The School reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrolment, with no refunds, in the event of misconduct or unsatisfactory behaviour. The directors’ decision is final.


Proof of Identity & Address
It is a requirement of enrolment that you are responsible for providing the School with accurate and full contact details (address, telephone number, and email address) both for yourself in the UK and in your own country and for your next of kin in your own country; it is also your responsibility to inform us immediately if there are any changes in these details.

Should you have a complaint, please speak to either Howard or Misun, who will do their best to resolve any problem as quickly as possible.
